Power tumbling is a fun and growing sport. Tumbling is for everyone ages three and up. We
offer recreational tumbling classes for those who just want to learn to tumble. This class is for athletes who wish to
concentrate exclussively on the tumbling aspect of gymnastics. All of our levels are designed to cross train our athletes
increasing their skills in almost every other sport.
In our power tumbling class we do a lot of back handsprings. Our staff helps each athlete
advance in the tumbling skills that they will need. We work with each athlete throughout the year by helping them
achieve bigger and better tricks.

Back Handspring Boot Camp (ages 6 and up)
Fridays 4:15 to 5:30
and
Sunday Class starting in November
Is a BACK HANDSPRING
your goal? I teach back handsprings in such a way, as
to get the student to learn it in the least amount of time possible, with no injury, and the least amount of boredom.
To question my techniques, is to question years of studying the sport, and a great deal of hard work. I have taught
literally hundreds of girls how to do a back handspring. Instead of having my student’s throw a million back handsprings
each class, I will have them throw enough to get the feel for it, while concentrating heavily on exercises that will give
them the strength & flexibility to accomplish the skill successfully. Don’t get me wrong, they need to do
a million of them, just not a million in each class. They won’t gain the strength as quickly throwing a million
of them every class, as they will, doing the strength training to enable and prepare their bodies to do it. Plus throwing
a million of them in a class will be boring. Zzzzzzzzz, over time they will begin to hate doing it, if we overkill something.
Trust me folks, in reality, it simply takes time. Give me 6 months minimum to teach someone a back handspring.
Even the weakest, most uncoordinated child can usually learn it easy with 6 consecutive months of hard work. I hope
I have shed light on some aspects of learning that will help you to understand the slow and tedious process of gymnastics
better.
Consistency
and PATIENCE is the key to success!
Happy training

Mondays 4:15pm to 6:15pm

Thursdays 9:00am to 11:40am
We expect and will not accept anything but 100% effort from all team members. In order to
be successful all team members must be willing to make adjustments to some bad habits. We want our gymnasts to feel that they
have accomplished something when they look back on their time with us. We ask that current team members understand that they
are a role model for other gymnasts and take this responsibility seriously.
The goal is for all team members to participate in competitions. We are aware that not every
gymnast will prepare at the same rate. No one will be held back if they are ready to compete. However, we will not send a
gymnast to compete until we feel they are ready. We want the competitions to be a valuable and enjoyable experience for each
and every team member.
We want team members to understand that being a member of a team is a priviledge, and we are
not required to keep you on the team if you do not follow the rules and safety guidelines. No individual will be allowed to
cause problems to the detriment of the team.
We understand that not everyone has the same goals. We will provide those who are less
serious with the opportunity to be a member of the team as long as they are willing to work hard. Everyone has the same opportunities,
but only those that strive for excellence will reach their full potential.
